Salary: £36,199 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full time, 35 hour working week.

Location: London, Kings Cross / Hybrid. Our Hybrid Working Arrangement gives you more choice about how, when and where you work best. Contractually based at our offices in London, we “Work Smarter to Live Better”. This means a mixture of working from the office or remotely in a way that balances the needs of Hospice UK, your team and yourself.

The role

If you are looking to broaden your skillset and deepen your experience of events fundraising in a more senior role, this could be for you. We want you to take responsibility for the development of our challenge events programme, exploring and maximising opportunities to raise funds for Hospice UK and awareness of our vital work.

You will be responsible for managing a broad range of running and challenge events including TCS London Marathon, London Landmarks Half Marathon, Great North Run. The role will take general responsibility for developing plans and budgets, marketing the events, taking a lead on logistics, providing excellent supporter care and ensuring events hit or exceed income targets within agreed expenditure.

You will have direct experience of managing multiple charity events successfully and to budget. Be able to provide high standards of supporter care and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. You will be comfortable multi-tasking and prioritising your varied workload and have experience of working with a database. You will be able to quickly form great relationships with internal and external partners, and act as a representative for Hospice UK.

The team

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation Department and works closely within and across the department. We are a supportive and collaborative team, with many years of fundraising experience between us. Hospice UK offers a vibrant and rewarding work environment within the Income Generation department.  With a great team culture of sharing, learning, social activities, and regular meet-ups.
