This guide looks to address two broad aims:

  1. To provide an overview of the equality and diversity agendas.
  2. To provide practical advice about how to drive those agendas within individual hospices.

It is intended to help organisations:

  • Understand where they are in relation to promoting equality and diversity.
  • Ensure they are meeting their statutory obligations under equality legislation by encouraging them to move beyond compliance.
