Watch a recording of our Big Conversation workshop from 2nd April 2025, where hospices came together to share tips and tricks on how to build strong relationships with elected representatives and leverage these to influence change.

About this workshop

Text

Your local elected representatives can be powerful advocates for your hospice locally and the hospice movement nationally. Building strong relationships can:

  • support commissioning negotiations
  • strengthen calls for national funding reform
  • improve the prioritisation of palliative care at a local and national level.

During this Big Conversation workshop, colleagues from across the UK shared tips and tricks on how to build strong relationships with elected representatives and make the most of opportunities to influence change.
