This working paper considers the potential areas that will demand education and training related to end of life care in the future and the opportunities available to hospices to respond.
In partnership with the National Association of Palliative Care Educators, the Commission into the Future of Hospice Care sought the help of educators and other providers of end of life education and training to identify future opportunities and challenges for hospice delivered education and training.
The learning and reflections from an event held to explore the future of hospice based education and training are captured here, along with a set of recommendations.
This paper is part of a series of contributions to the Commission into the Future of Hospice Care. The aim of the Commission into the Future of Hospice Care is to help hospices look ahead so they can anticipate and meet the changing and growing needs of the communities they serve.
