On 11th February we held a Big Conversations webinar about the changes to employment law that are set out in the draft Employment Rights Bill.
We were joined by Tom Parkes from Keely's Solicitors, who explored the planned changes in the Bill, including:
day one right to unfair dismissal
ending the practice of ‘fire and rehire’
collective redundancy consultation
flexible working
statutory sick pay
sexual harassment laws
zero hours contracts.
He discussed plans for future changes not addressed in the Bill and the steps employers need to take to prepare.
This webinar is suitable for hospices in England, Scotland and Wales. (The Bill does not apply in Northern Ireland, where employment law is devolved). There are some clauses in the Bill that do not apply to all territories, and Tom makes this clear in the webinar.
