About the Organisers
Diana Opio, as a trained nurse has been working in palliative care for several decades, this has included 3 hospices as well as a hospital community palliative care team. She has also helped set up and run palliative care academic programmes in East Africa. More recently she has become increasingly interested in aspects of spirituality at the end of life and has trained as a soul midwife and has run many death cafes. She is currently a member of the board of Courthouse Community Centre at Jamyang.
Ven. Barbara Shannon is the FPMT UK Coordinator and she facilitates the Death cafe at Jamayng London. In recognition of her important work, she was awarded by the Faiths Forum 2019 as an Inspirational Individual.

Life Cafés are gatherings where people do a series of creative activities together that are designed to stimulate conversations about, well, life: the meaning of it, the end of it, and care.
The objectives of the session will be to:
- To facilitate conversations about life: the meaning of it, the end of it, and care
- To help people explore what’s important to them in life and in a care capacity
The Life Kit Toolbox is for anyone who needs to make effective decisions within a care environment, facilitate or guide effective decision-making processes, or manage or coordinate group work in development that requires the knowledge of multiple persons to succeed. You are welcome to attend this taster session!
