Response to the National Clinical Framework by the Welsh Government

The Welsh Government has published their National Clinical Framework this week, and sets out plans for an End of Life Care Programme. 



Responding to the publication of the framework, and its plans for the programme, Hospice UK's Policy and Advocacy Manager for Wales, Catrin Edwards, says:



"We’re delighted that the Welsh Government has committed to a new End of Life Care Programme as part of its National Clinical Framework.



"At Hospice UK we look forward to playing our part in the programme, with the view to ensuring that everyone in Wales gets access to the palliative and end of life care they need to die well."



The Framework can be downloaded from the Welsh Government website.

 

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi cyhoeddi eu Fframwaith Clinigol Cenedlaethol yr wythnos hon, ac yn nodi cynlluniau ar gyfer Rhaglen Gofal Diwedd Oes.



Wrth ymateb i gyhoeddi'r fframwaith, a'i gynlluniau ar gyfer y rhaglen, dywed Rheolwr Polisi ac Eiriolaeth Cymru Hospice UK, Catrin Edwards:



"Rydyn ni wrth ein bodd bod Llywodraeth Cymru wedi ymrwymo i Raglen Gofal Diwedd Oes newydd fel rhan o'i Fframwaith Clinigol Cenedlaethol.



"Yn Hospice UK rydym yn edrych ymlaen at chwarae ein rhan yn y rhaglen, gyda'r bwriad o sicrhau bod pawb yng Nghymru yn cael mynediad at y gofal lliniarol a diwedd oes sydd ei angen arnynt i farw'n dda."
