Former model and actress Shakira Caine, lawyer Nancy Dell’Olio and the founder of Pineapple Studios Debbie Moore OBE were among the high profile guests at an exclusive fundraising fashion event held in support of national hospice and end of life care charity Hospice UK.

More than 80 guests attended the Fashion Lunch held at Mosimann’s Club, one of the most prestigious private dining clubs in the world, located in the heart of Belgravia.

They enjoyed a drinks reception and lunch whilst admiring a string of show-stopping creations from leading designers Tomasz Starzewski, Daniel Blake, Karl Donoghue and Rachel Trevor-Morgan.

One of Britain’s leading fashion designers, Tomasz Starzewski has a loyal following on both sides of the Atlantic and dresses many members of the British and European royal families and heads of state, as well as stars from stage and screen. He first came to attention when the late Princess of Wales, Baroness Thatcher, Duchess of Cornwall, Countess Wessex and Sarah Duchess of York wore his designs.

Karl Donoghue founded his eponymous luxury fashion label in 2000 and his numerous celebrity clients include Kate Moss, Julian Moore and Kylie Minogue.

Other guests attending the glamorous Fashion Lunch included: novelist and former model Lady Sandra Howard, the wife of former Conservative leader Lord Howard, who was previously Chair of Hospice UK and Minnie Churchill, grand-daughter-in law of Sir Winston Churchill.

The event was organised by Hospice UK and Merrill Powell, Chair of the London Fundraising Committee.

Hospice UK raised more than £16,000 from the event for its work supporting more than 200 hospices across the UK. Charitable hospices provide care to more than 200,000 adults and children with terminal and life-limiting conditions each year and raise the bulk of their income, largely through fundraising.

Catherine Bosworth, Director of Income Generation at Hospice UK said:

“Our Fashion Lunch was a great success and helped raise crucial funds for the care provided by hospices across the UK to children and adults with terminal and life-limiting conditions.

“We were thrilled to have such renowned designers featuring their work at our Fashion Lunch. Our guests certainly showed their passion for fashion, admiring the many eye-catching designs on display while enjoying a relaxing lunch.”
