Job description

Leadership & Management:

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision and plan for the Hospice’s Finance service, including developing the Finance Strategy and Business Plan in line with key priorities of the Hospice

  • Lead transformational change from a finance perspective supporting delivery of our operational strategy.

Financial Systems, Control and Accounting

  • Improve finance systems/processes & streamlining/modernisation of these in line with industry development and practices.

  • To ensure accurate capture and processing of all income.

Resource Planning, Budgeting and Reporting

  • Produce and direct timely and accurate financial reports and budgets for the Hospice Leadership Team, the Board of Trustees, and the CEO to inform and monitor on-going budgetary requirements.

Team and People Management

  • To lead and manage the Finance Team, providing leadership, support, appraisals, and supervision to all reporting staff.
