Grants and bursaries for professional development
Our grants and bursaries can be used to support learning and development for a range of professionals working in our member hospices.
How to use our grants and bursaries
Our professional development grants and bursaries can be used by people who are employed by hospices that are members of Hospice UK.
They support you to join courses, conferences and study days so you can improve your professional skills and give your hospice’s patients, carers and families the best care possible.
How much can I apply for?
Individuals can apply for a maximum of 50% of course or module fees, up to a total of £1,500 per year (subject to funds being available). The amount awarded will be decreased proportionately for applicants working less than 18 hours per week.
We encourage matched funding to be committed by your hospice, or raised from another funding source.
Which grant should I apply for?
Our professional development grants and bursaries are generously supported by our partners, each of whom has slightly different criteria.
You can find out more about what each grant covers below. Please ensure you have read the guidance and meet the relevant criteria before applying.
