Our Clinical & Workforce Leaders Conference will take place on Tuesday 29th April 2025 at Conference Aston in Birmingham, B4 7ET. This one-day conference is a joint meeting of Hospice UK’s Clinical and Workforce Leaders networks. The aims of the networks are to advance leadership in hospice and palliative care, developing leaders for the present and future. It also facilitates the exchange of information, expertise and learning.
We anticipate hosting over 80 delegates this year who will ask how innovation, research and collaboration can impact and respond to the direction of quality and improvement and staff wellbeing.

Last year the government announced an additional £100 million funding for the hospice sector. The funding will help support hospices and deliver much needed funding for improvements including refurbishments, overhauling IT systems and improving facilities for patients and visitors. This is the biggest investment in a generation for hospices and will help ensure that the sector can continue to deliver the highest quality end of life care possible for their patients, families, and loved ones.
Hospice UK are planning a series of 3 virtual demo-days for our partners to present ideas and solutions to our members on how they could spend their portion of the funding most wisely.- Thursday 8 May - Capex spending on buildings and property (including working towards net-zero)
- Thursday 15 May - Overhauling clinical IT systems to improve patient care
- Thursday 22 May - General technology and IT investments
