About the network
The Hospice Income Generation Leaders Network aims to provide a forum for Income Generation and Fundraising leaders to:
- share best practice
- learn from each other
- engage in sector-wide issues
- discuss big-picture challenges facing the hospice community.

Online discussion group
Everyone who joins the network will be added to our MS Teams channel where members can share and discuss ideas. Through the channel, we will keep you updated with everything Hospice UK is doing, arrange meetings and share helpful resources.
If you already use Teams, the group will look a bit different to what you’re used to. Please make sure you have read our guidance and set up notifications to make sure you don’t miss anything!
How to join
To join the network, you need to fill in a quick online form. We will then add you to our MS Teams channel and you can introduce yourself to everyone!
Meetings
Meetings are scheduled via our MS Teams channel.

On Wednesday 16th October, we will hear from:
- Charlie King, Deputy Director of External Affairs, Hospice UK
- Katie Reade, Head of Policy & Public Affairs, Hospice UK
- Cat Maddy, Head of Marketing and Communications, Ashgate Hospice
- Charlotte Forrest, Director of Income Generation, Prospect Hospice.
Charlie and Katie from Hospice UK will give an overview of our recent campaign around the short-term funding crisis facing many hospices within the sector. You will hear about how we launched the ‘Write to your MP’ campaign and how and why it has been successful, including data and insights. Charlie and Katie will provide an update on our lobbying work, share what we are hearing from ministers and civil servants and consider what the future holds.
Cat will talk about how Ashgate mobilised the campaign locally and the impact it had on the hospice and engagement.
Charlotte will give an insight into how Prospect Hospice launched their most successful urgent cash appeal.
We also want to hear from you and your hospice. The session will recognise the challenges around the campaign message and open up the forum to talk about how you can best navigate with your hospice and local community.
