PwC building lit up for Go Yellow 2019

PwC

In the fourth and final year of our partnership with the PwC Foundation, an impressive £130,000 was raised and donated to Hospice UK, bringing the total funds raised since the partnership began to a remarkable £621,497!

Highlights from the partnership included a three-day trek across Snowdonia, PwC winning our popular Dragon Boat Race, and much more.

PwC colleagues also made a profound difference by generously donating their skills, knowledge, and time. Their commitment to mentoring not only strengthened our organisational capabilities but also directly impacted the lives of those we support. A prime example is the development of our Compassionate Bereavement Conversations e-learning tool in collaboration with the PwC Learning Lab team.

Furthermore, during the final year, PwC funded our ground-breaking ‘Poverty and deprivation Research Project’. This initiative explored the thoughts and feelings of individuals facing poverty and deprivation regarding end of life care. The report serves as a crucial platform, amplifying the voices of those in areas of high deprivation and poverty. By sharing their experiences and perspectives, we have been able to highlight the unique challenges they face. By identifying the root problems and proposing targeted solutions, we can now drive meaningful change and ensure that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, can receive the compassionate care they deserve at the end of their life.
