The Society for Disabled Artists (SODA) Bursaries are open to hospice and palliative care professionals employed within hospices and will fund study to gain Art and Music Therapy qualifications.

Individuals can apply for a maximum of 50% of course or module fees, up to £1,500 in any one year – subject to funds being available.   

 

Eligible Individuals

All applicants must be a hospice or palliative care professional working in an eligible organisation.  Roles include:

  • Allied Health Professional (Including Art Therapist and Music Therapist)
  • Nurse
  • Healthcare Assistant
  • Doctor
  • Social Worker
  • Bereavement Counsellor
  • Spiritual Care Worker
  • Pharmacist
  • Complementary Therapists.

Applicants would need to demonstrate how the course would improve patient outcomes.

Eligible Organisations

Hospices that are members of Hospice UK based in the UK, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

We encourage matched funding to be committed by the hospice or raised from another funder.
