What is Power Query?

Power Query is a tool embedded in Excel and PowerBI which provides an automated way of importing and manipulating data. For example, a hospice might export a standard report from a patient records system each month as a spreadsheet. Power Query can consolidate the separate reports into one table ready for analysis.
