Community Development toolkit Case Studies

A number of the hospices who worked on the Community Development toolkit have produced case studies.
When developing their volunteer strategy, John Taylor Hospice wanted to move beyond simply engaging and consulting with staff and volunteers. Instead, it was their desire to ensure paid staff and volunteers had a role in co-designing our three-year Volunteer Strategy.
In June 2018, Community Organisers from Community First with Dorothy House Hospice carried out a community-based needs analysis in the Mendip communities of Coleford, Shepton Mallet and Frome.

The intention of the project by John Taylor Hospice was to contact local schools and colleges in north-east Birmingham to establish and develop long-term, reciprocal partnerships to support the work of the schools and the hospice.
